| Front Page |
The front page is simple and intuitive. All phpLDAPadmin features are accessible via the tree
viewer in the left frame. |
| Creating LDAP Entries |
| phpLDAPadmin's flexible templating system allows administrators to create entries using an automated
process. Since no two LDAP servers are alike and phpLDAPadmin is open source, admis are free to modify the templates to
suit their environment. |

| Editing LDAP Entries |
| Use templates to edit entries. phpLDAPadmin supports a wide range of complex attributes, including
boolean fields, jpegPhotos, binary attributes, and more. Even email, web links, and LDAP DNs are handled specially to
make administering your directory easy. |

| Data Maintenance |
| phpLDAPadmin supports automated tasks like copying entries and sub-trees between LDAP servers as well
as LDIF and DSML export and LDIF import. |
Copy LDAP entries to other locations or between LDAP servers. Recursively copy entire LDAP trees. |
Export entries or entire sub-trees in LDIF
or DSML format. Customize line end
format (Unix, Windows, or Mac), search scope, and export format. |
| Viewing LDAP Schema and Server Info |
| phpLDAPadmin's LDAP schema browser and RootDSE viewer allow admins to quickly and easily inspect
their server's meta information. The schema browser links attributes to objectClasses, understands LDAP schema inheritance,
and provides URLs to allow quick schema lookups. |
View your server's LDAP schema objectClasses with links to attributes and inheritance meta-information. |
View your server's LDAP schema attributes with links to equality rules, syntax, and objectClasses who make use of them.
|
View your server's Root DSE information, including supported LDAP versions, GSSAPI, SASL, and other LDAP information.
|
| LDAP Searches |
| Search for entries with one of three different search forms. For advanced LDAP searches, users can
specify fine-grained options and even pick which attributes to display in the search result. Binary attributes and jpegPhotos
display right inside the search results. Setup and save pre-defined searches to allow reuse of complex LDAP search filters. |
Use the simple search form to do quick-and-easy searches of your LDAP server. Large search results are paged into groups |
Use the advanced search form to tweak the search to exactly suit your needs. Specify base, scope, filter, and display attributes. |
| Commercial LDAP Server Support |
| phpLDAPadmin supports a wide range of commercial LDAP servers from Novell, Sun, Microsoft, and others. Any directory server
that is LDAP compliant can be administered by phpLDAPadmin. Note that not all LDAP servers are truely compliant with the open standard, so the
phpLDAPadmin development team has developed flexible mechanisms for supporting non-compliant servers as well. |
